Scales and Tails | Classroom Visit

Grades: 1 - 12

Students build an understanding about amphibians and reptiles, and the important roles they play in their habitats. Program includes a PowerPoint presentation and observation of a variety of live cold-blooded animal ambassadors.

This is a 1-hour program in your classroom for up to 35 students, or one class per program.

This program will touch upon the following Next Generation Science Standards:
NGSS: LS1.B, LS1.D, LS3.B, LS4.C, LS4.D

To ensure the overall well-being of the Animal Ambassadors in our care, we cannot guarantee specific types or quantity of animals.

Requirements

Each program is limited to 35 students, or one class. Program can be repeated (sequentially) on the same day.

Teacher must be present in the classroom.

If your school is located more than 30 miles round trip from the Nature Center, there will be an additional fee to cover the extra travel time/costs.
