Methods of the Maidu | Classroom Visit
Grades: 3 - 5
In your classroom, students will experience the sights and sounds of pre-1830 Valley Nisenan culture through a visual presentation, storytelling, and replica Valley Nisenan artifact exploration.
This is a 75-minute program in your classroom for up to 35 students, or one class per program.
This program will touch upon the following Common Core State Standards (CCSS):
CCSS: HSS-3.2, HSS-4.2, HSS-5.3
Each program is limited to 35 students, or one class. If more than 2 programs are needed in the same day, please contact Brena at brenas@sacnaturecenter.net or 916-875-3962 to arrange a schedule.
Teacher must be present in the classroom.
If your school is located more than 30 miles round trip from the Nature Center, there will be an additional fee to cover the extra travel time/costs.
