Students explore a variety of invertebrates including insects and arachnids, as well as examine their life cycle and their importance to our ecosystem. Program includes a PowerPoint presentation and live invertebrate specimens.
This is a 1-hour program in your classroom for up to 35 students, or one class per program.
This program will touch upon the following Next Generation Science Standards:
NGSS: LS1.B, LS1.C, LS2.A, LS2.B
Please note that a variety of live invertebrates will be presented, but we cannot guarantee any specific type of invertebrates brought for each program.
Each program is limited to 35 students, or one class.
Teacher must be present in the classroom. Program can be provided up to 4 times on the same day.
If your school is located more than 30 miles round trip from the Nature Center, there will be an additional fee to cover the extra travel time/costs.
